Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about the tools, what they can retrieve, and how this site handles your data.
Is YouTube Tools Hub free?
Yes. Every tool on this site is free to use, with no account and no sign-up. If a genuine technical limit ever applies to a specific feature, the tool explains it rather than silently failing.
How do I download a YouTube thumbnail?
Open the YouTube Thumbnail Downloader, paste any YouTube video link (watch page, youtu.be short link, Shorts or embed URL) or the 11-character video ID, and press Get Thumbnails. The tool checks which thumbnail sizes YouTube really serves for that video and shows each one with its dimensions, a Download button and an Open button.
Can I download a channel logo?
Yes. Paste the channel's URL or @handle into the YouTube Channel Logo Downloader. The tool resolves the channel and shows its public profile image with download and open options, provided YouTube returns one.
Can I download a channel banner?
Usually. The YouTube Channel Banner Downloader retrieves the banner from the channel's public page data and offers the largest version YouTube exposes. Some channels have no banner, or one that is not exposed publicly; in that case the tool explains that instead of showing a substitute image.
Why are some thumbnail resolutions unavailable?
YouTube does not generate every thumbnail size for every video. Older, short or low-resolution videos may never have received the maximum-resolution (1280×720) thumbnail. This site only displays variants that actually load, and notes how many are unavailable for a given video.
Why might channel tags be unavailable?
Channel-level keywords only appear when the channel owner has set them and YouTube includes them in the channel's public page metadata. Many channels have none. When that happens the Channel Tags Extractor says so plainly — it never replaces missing channel keywords with video tags or invented words.
Why might video tags be unavailable?
A video's tags are only shown when they can be read from the video's public metadata. Some videos have no tags at all, and occasionally YouTube does not serve readable metadata (for example for private videos). The Video Tags Extractor distinguishes those cases and never guesses or generates tags and presents them as extracted.
Do I need a YouTube API key?
No. None of the tools on this site ask you for an API key. The thumbnail tool uses YouTube's public thumbnail image URLs, and the channel and video tools read public page metadata through this site's own server endpoints.
Does the website store submitted URLs?
Submitted URLs are processed to fetch the result you asked for and are not added to any public listing. Server logs may retain technical request data for a short period for security and debugging, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Can I use the website on a mobile phone?
Yes. Every page and tool is designed to work on phones and tablets as well as desktop browsers, including the paste, copy and download controls.
Why might a download fail?
A download can fail if the image host is temporarily unreachable, your browser blocks cross-origin downloads, or the image was removed. Each tool also offers an Open image button so you can view the image and save it manually from your browser.
